This is a 9/10 day trek up to Samiti Lake at over 4000m and returning the same way and is worth the effort if you are looking for the high altitude species and of course the magnificent Himalayan scenery.
Selected sightings: Scarlet Finch, Yellow-rumped Honeyguide, Black Eagle, Grey-bellied Tesia, Spotted Forktail, White-throated, Chestnut-crowned, Black-faced-Streaked, Striated and Scaly Laughingthrush, Lesser Cuckoo, Fire-tailed Myzornis, Spotted Bush Warbler, Grandala, Dark-breasted, White-browed, Dark-rumped, Red-fronted and Pink-browed Rosefinch, Rufous-breasted Bush Robin, Rufous-breasted Accentor, Nutcracker, Lammergeier, Himalayan Monal, White-winged Grosbeak, Yellow and Red-billed Chough, Golden Bush Robin, Ruddy Shellduck, Snow Partridge and White-rumped Snowfinch.
