Tiger Hill

Mixed forest with bamboo along the trail below the summit and some open areas. At 2,590m Tiger Hill is the highest point near Darjeeling and attracts thousands of tourists at dawn every morning to see the sunrise over Kanchenjunga and is worth visiting for both the view, the atmosphere and spectacle of all those people at that time and once the people have moved on the birding can be good.

Selected sightings: Dark-throated and Plain-backed Thrush, White-browed Shortwing, White-tailed Robin, Yellow-bellied Bush Warbler, Wryneck.
