International flights to Delhi or Kolkata (Calcutta) are available through most travel agents. You may however prefer to phone Trailfinders (www.trailfinders.com) for this service. We recommend that you check the availability of internal flights before confirming your international flights. As well as Jet Air, the low cost airline Deccan Air operates between Delhi and Bagdogra, but the latter cannot be booked on the international system. If you require further assistance, local travel agents will meet you at the International airport on arrival, and take you to and from your accommodation.

POINTS OF ARRIVAL

We normally arrange to meet clients at their point of arrival in the area.

• Darjeeling’s nearest airport is Bagdogra, which connects with Delhi and Kolkatta.
• The nearest railway station is New Jalpaiguri, just outside Siliguri, with connections to Kolkatta, Delhi and other cities.
• Entry via Nepal: Bhadrapure airport in Nepal is approximately 21/2 hours drive from Siliguri. Biratnagar is approximately 4 hours drive from Siliguri
• Entry via Bhutan: from the border town of Phuentsoling it is about 3 hoursdrive to Coronation Bridge on the main road between Darjeeling and Siliguri
